Snowfield House
I built a second house in the Winterhold region. As always, the interior is larger than the exterior.

There is a display issue regarding the file size of the English version of the MOD file uploaded to Bethesda.net (creations page) using the new Creation Kit (version 1.6.1130.0). When viewing Bethesda.net (creations page) on a computer or smartphone, the Installation Size is displayed incorrectly. MOD pages uploaded with the new Creation Kit display an Installation Size larger than the actual file size.
The file size displayed on the creations page accessed in-game, not on the creations page viewed on a computer or smartphone, is a guide to the original file size of the MOD.
The file size of Snowfield House is approximately 702 KB.
I built a medium-sized house in the Winterhold region. The house is on a snowy field. This house can have up to 2 Followers as cohabitants. The property is equipped with a bath and toilet. Guard patrols the area around your home to keep you and your family safe.
The town of Winterhold and the College of Winterhold are on the other side of the mountain.
Once you save and load after installing this MOD, you can have up to 2 Followers living in your living area. This habitation feature only works for humanoid Followers. The residence function does not work for animals such as Meeko or stray dogs. There are no plans to support the animal migration function in the future.
Conflicting MOD: MOD that modifies the same location (coordinates are 22, 24)
As with all MOD installations, in order to deal with unexpected problems, please back up your save data before installing this MOD so that you can always restore it before installing this MOD.
Notes for Xbox One version
- I don't have an Xbox One, so I can't check the operation. note that.
- Of the added NPCs, only those with followers-enabled voices can be hired by Amazing Follower Tweaks.
- Supports "Hearthfire multiple adoptions". Since this operation check only confirmed "operation on the PC version", we have not been able to completely confirm the operation on Xbox One.
The following information is shared between the PC and Xbox One versions.
If you save and load once after installing this MOD, you can have up to 2 followers living in the residential area. This habitation feature only works for humanoid Followers. The habitation function does not work for animals such as Meeko and stray dogs. We do not plan to support the migration function of animals in the future. Please use "My Home is Your Home" for migration of animals including Meeko. Use "Hearthfire Multiple Adoption" to relocate your family.
Explanation of PS4 version only
If you save and load once after installing this MOD, you can have up to 2 followers living in the residential area. This habitation feature only works for humanoid Followers. The habitation function does not work for animals such as Meeko and stray dogs. We do not plan to support the migration function of animals in the future. Please use "[PS4] Relocate NPC - Your new home" to relocate your family and animals.
"[PS4] Relocate NPC - Your new home" is required to move family and animals to this house.
Requires "[PS4] Multiple Followers System" to hire additional NPCs.
Bath products are sold by merchants (Synebelle). Business hours are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Indoor facilities: Main character's bedroom with loft, 6 beds for children, 2 beds for NPCs, toilet, bath, cooking facilities (oven, cooking pot, grill), altars of Nine Divines and Daedric, Arcane Enchanter and Staff Enchanter, Alchemy lab, Magic cauldron. All indoor storage other than water barrels will not respawn. Indoor storage is safe.
There are two toilets inside the building.
The main character's bedroom has a loft. The loft has a bookshelf and a study desk.
There are 3 bookshelves in the loft, each of which can hold 18 books.
In the kitchen, the sink, cooking utensils, and oven are arranged in an L-shape.
In the early stages of development, the cooking pot and grill had a switch to turn them on and off, but we made them permanent so that housemates and partners can use them.
The bookshelf by the fireplace can display a total of 140 books.
Indoor large public bath. This is a setting where hot springs are pumped up from underground.
There is a sink in the Enchanter and Alchemy lab workspaces. We have also installed chairs next to the work desks so that adopted children and housemates can watch and learn about the Enchanter and Alchemy lab work.
Opposite the Enchanter and Alchemy lab workspaces, there is a doorway to access the roof deck.
Outdoor facilities: fields, stables, blacksmith equipment, merchant and guard quarters entrances.
If the weather is nice, you can see the Azura statue from the rooftop deck or the deck in front of the entrance.
The telescope on the rooftop deck is just a decoration. Followers or housemates may peek in instead of the player.
There is a field to the south of the building. You can plant additional crops.
Chickens and goats may stick out from the chicken coop, but don't worry about it.
By washing your hands, brushing your teeth, using the toilet, washing your body, and using a bath, you will be temporarily given a status increase effect.
There is an NPC automatic undressing function in the bath and toilet. Undressing will be canceled after a certain period of time.
If undressing is not canceled, remove the Bath Cloth and Restroom Cloth from the NPC's equipment.
If you don't want NPCs to undress automatically:
There is an "NPCs will not undress" button that will stop NPCs from undressing in the bath or toilet.
You can turn on/off the undressing of NPCs inside the building and in the garden using the "undressing control button" located immediately to the right after entering from the main entrance.
By turning the switch on, you will see NPCs using the toilet or bath with their clothes still on, but please think of them as actually undressing.
When external security by Guard is not necessary
There is a button on the counter wall in the merchant and guard quarters that gives the Guard a vacation.
The "Give Guards a Vacation Button" is shaped like the "Shield of Winterhold".
When you activate this button, your Guards will take a vacation and leave their post.
There will be no outside security provided by the Guard, so players should deal with external enemies.
Known bugs/issues
Known Issue 1: The switch allows you to toggle the display of bath and sink water. The game may crash if you go outdoors with a large amount of running water displayed. Please turn off the switch when you move. Conserving water is important. If you switch switches continuously, the game will be overloaded and may crash.
Known Issue 2: This house has a house Owner set to "Player". There is also a "Public Area" setting.
This is because if the house does not have a "Public Area" setting, the residents will warn the player "I want you to leave the house" when the player returns home.
Guests such as guards may come to visit this house under the influence of this "Public Area" setting. After a while, the guests will return to where they were, so please leave them alone.
Known Issue 3: The guard's AI package does not specify that it should enter the main building, but for some reason the guard sometimes enters the main building. The guard sometimes enters the main building regardless of whether the "Public Area" setting is enabled. Since we do not know the root cause, we are unable to completely fix this issue at this time.
Question and Answer (Possible question)
I want to move my family, but this house is not an option for me to move to.
Answer for PC and Xone versions: "Hearthfire Multiple Adoption" is required to move family members such as spouses and adopted children. Visit this house after installing "Hearthfire Multiple Adoption" and cast the spell "Bless Home" inside the house to have your spouse or adopted child move into this house.
PS4 version answer: To move family members such as a spouse or adopted child, you need "[PS4] Relocate NPC - Your new home".
Explanation of the Housemate function.
A description of the function to let followers live in this house (housemate function).
I used UniSL's "Dweller Slot" for Follower's immigration function system. Thanks to UniSL.
- Save and load after installing MOD. If you don't go through this procedure, you won't be able to invite your housemates.
- Bring the Follower indoors in this house.
- The option "[Home] Would you live in this house?" will be displayed in the conversation with Follower. Select dweller slots from [1] to [2].
When you talk to the NPC who has become a resident, the option "[Home] I want to manage dwellers." will be displayed, so you can unlock the dweller slot.
When you want to replace a resident, bring the follower you want to replace to this house and have the "[Home] Would you live in this house?" dialogue select the dweller slot of the housemate you want to replace.
If you allocate a dweller slot and then un-employ the follower, the former follower will start living in this house as a housemate.
When you want to replace a resident, bring the follower you want to replace to this house and have the "[Home] Would you live in this house?" dialogue select the dweller slot of the housemate you want to replace.
Note and request: Essential attribute (non-dying attribute) will be given while staying, but it will return to the initial setting after unlocking the dweller slot. If you bring a Follower without the Essential attribute, hire him as a Follower after unlocking the dweller slot and bring him to a safe place.
When uninstalling this MOD, please cancel all the residents' settings first, take them to the place where the residents were first, and then uninstall this MOD.
By using other mods together, it is possible to migrate "NPCs that cannot be made friends normally", but it is recommended to migrate NPCs related to the progress of the quest after the quest is completed. . If you migrate NPCs related to quest progress in the middle of the quest, the quest may not be able to progress.
Also, if you "temporarily make a hostile NPC that has been tranquillized" migrate as a Housemate, it may attack surrounding NPCs and players after the sedation is released, so please be careful.
This will be a repeated warning, but if you bring NPCs involved in the quest progress to this house, please bring them to this house after the quest is over. If you make "NPC involved in quest progress" a housemate in the middle of the quest, the quest may not progress.
A description of the cohabitant's living quarters area
- For slot 1, go down the stairs and the room on the right side will be the housemate's living space.
- For slot 2, go down the stairs and the room on the left will be the housemate's living space.
Housemates sleep in designated beds for 8 hours from 11:00pm to 7:00am. However, if your housemate's sleep start time is earlier than 11:00 p.m., they may sleep in a different bed.
Even if your housemates are sleeping in a bed other than the designated bed, they will wake up once at 23:00 when sleep starts and go to their designated bed.
Places housemate mainly visits: indoors and outdoors.
Ownership is not set for the bed in the housemate's living quarters.
if the follower accompanying the player goes to bed first, the housemate will have no place to sleep and the housemate will not be able to sleep.
housemate's schedule
- Breakfast is served in the cafeteria from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
- Lunch is served in the cafeteria from noon to 1:00 p.m.
- Dinner is served at the cafeteria from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm
- sleep from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am
- Residents are free to move indoors and outdoors, except when eating and sleeping.
If your housemates are hanging around without clothes, please remove the Bath Cloth or Restroom Cloth from your possessions.
How to take equipment from a housemate: Use 'Tailor's Measure - Change NPC's Outfit'. This MOD allows you to interact not only with changing costumes but also checking your belongings. Even if your housemate doesn't have Bath Cloth or Restroom Cloth and isn't wearing any clothes, use "Tailor's Measure - Change NPC's Outfit" to specify the outfit.
