About the 4 Hearthfire Cellar Mods

About the 4 Hearthfire Cellar Mods

There are 3 mods for Hearthfire Cellar. This is a guide page when you are wondering which of these 3 types of MOD to use.

This article is a guide for the following 4 mods:

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The 4 mods "Hearthfire Cellar Renovation and CC Fishing Patch" and "Hearthfire Cellar Renovation" and "Hearthfire Cellar Remodel Bundle" and "Hearthfire Cellar Remodel Bundle 2" cannot be used together in any combination. Be sure to use only one of them.

A mod made by another modder that cannot be used with all three versions above is "Hearthfire Cellar Pools".

Cellar's refurbishment applies to all three mansions, Lakeview Manor, Windstad Manor and Heljarchen Hall. Each Cellar extends the section to the right of the doorway.

Important points to note when uninstalling or switching to other versions (information common to all versions)

Uninstallation

To prevent permanent stat bugs or save data corruption, follow these steps before removing the mod:

  1. Discard all items added by this mod (bath items, etc.) from your inventory.
  2. Wait for all mod-related status buffs (Bath, Toilet, etc.) to expire completely.
  3. Save your game in a location away from the Hearthfire Cellar (e.g., inside a city).

[IMPORTANT] Skipping these steps may result in permanent stat errors or broken save files.

Switching to Another Version

When switching between my Hearthfire Cellar mods, you MUST meet the following conditions:

  1. Empty all added storages: Even if the floor plan looks the same, the containers are technically different. If you don't retrieve your items before switching, they will be lost.
  2. Clear all Magic Effects: Ensure all effects from bathing, brushing hands, or using the toilet have expired.

Reset the Cell: After switching mods, NPC pathfinding may not update immediately. If this happens, stay away from the cellar for about 10 in-game days to allow the cell to reset.

Hearthfire Cellar Renovation

Summary

Pre-created Aquarium locations added by CC Fishing mod do not move from their initial placement.

Renovations add: baths, toilets, bedrooms for Followers, greenhouses for growing plants, crafting areas (Arcane Enchanter and Alchemy lab and Staff Enchanter), small food storage areas (cheese and butter churn and Mead Barrel)

Lakeview Manor, Cellar

Windstad Manor, Cellar

Heljarchen Hall, Cellar

MOD that can be used in conjunction with other Hearthfire Cellar renovations and expansions.

MOD conditions: MOD that can be used as it is without moving the position of Aquarium added by CC Fishing mod.

When I checked the conflicts in the PC version of "Hearthfire Custom Basements", there is no need to worry about conflicts because it adds an area separate from the original Hearthfire Cellar's area. I think the Xone version is probably fine too.

Xone's "Hearthfire Unique Display Room With CC Fishing Patch" has the description "A patch to allow access to the rooms created by Unique Display Rooms while still maintaining the new aquarium added by Anniversary Edition."
You should probably be able to use "Hearthfire Cellar Renovation".

Skyrim MOD Name: Hearthfire Cellar Renovation
place: Hearthfire Cellar
Hearthfire Multiple Adoption support: supported.

Bed without ownership
  • Lakeview Manor, Cellar: Single Bed: 4, Double bed: 4
  • Windstad Manor, Cellar: Single Bed: 2, Double bed: 4
  • Heljarchen Hall, Cellar: Single Bed: 6, Double bed: 2

Summary: There are two versions only for the PC version.
The one with SE notation is composed only of the material of Version 1.5.97 environment. Those with AE notation are using the materials available in Version 1.6 or later.

Hearthfire Cellar Renovation and CC Fishing Patch

Summary:

Move the position of already created Aquarium added by CC Fishing mod.

The reason for moving the position of the Aquarium is to continue to use "Hearthfire Cellar Extension" or "Hearthfire Cellar Armory".

What is added in the renovation: Add a toilet and a bath. The bedroom is not installed in this MOD because a nice bedroom was added in "Hearthfire Cellar Extension".

It cannot be used at the same time as mods that overlap extensions or mods that remodel Hearthfire Cellar's aquarium area itself. Please use "Hearthfire Cellar Renovation", which does not involve moving the aquarium, when used in conjunction with a MOD that renovates the Hearthfire Cellar aquarium area itself.

MOD that can be used in conjunction with other Hearthfire Cellar renovations and expansions.

One of "Hearthfire Cellar Extension" and "Hearthfire Cellar Armory".

For Xone users, please use either the "Hearthfire Cellar Renovation and CC Fishing Patch" or the "Hearthfire Cellar Remodel Bundle" to continue using the "Hearthfire Cellar Extension".

Although it has not been confirmed, this mod should also be available for mods that overlap the already created Aquariums added by other CC Fishing mods.

Skyrim MOD Name: Hearthfire Cellar Renovation and CC Fishing Patch
place: Hearthfire Cellar
Hearthfire Multiple Adoption support: supported.

Bed without ownership

Hearthfire Cellar Remodel Bundle and Hearthfire Cellar Remodel Bundle 2

I made an addition for those who want to use both "Hearthfire Cellar Renovation and CC Fishing Patch" and "Hearthfire Cellar Renovation".

Since the aquarium is moved based on "Hearthfire Cellar Renovation", the position where the aquarium moves is different compared to "Hearthfire Cellar Renovation and CC Fishing Patch".

Summary:

It combines the elements of moving the created aquarium and expanding the subterranean compartments of all three mansions: Lakeview Manor, Windstad Manor and Heljarchen Hall.
I made a bundle version for those who want to use both "Hearthfire Cellar Renovation and CC Fishing Patch" and "Hearthfire Cellar Renovation".

If you are using this in conjunction with the PC version of [Hearthfire Cellars Fully Upgraded] (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/26554), the toilet near the basement entrance will overlap with the corner of the private room, so please use the version with the toilet removed, [Hearthfire Cellar Remodel Bundle 2].

Skyrim MOD Name: Hearthfire Cellar Remodel Bundle
place: Hearthfire Cellar
Hearthfire Multiple Adoption support: supported.

Hearthfire Cellar Remodel Bundle [PS4]

There is another version called "Bundle 2" (indicated by the "2" at the end of the mod name). In this version, one toilet has been removed?specifically the one located right next to the cellar entrance.

Hearthfire Cellar Remodel Bundle 2

Hearthfire Cellar Remodel Bundle 2 is compatible with "Hearthfire Cellars Fully Upgraded" (by DigitalCabbage).

(Nexus URL: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/26554)

In this version, the toilet located right next to the cellar entrance?which previously caused a layout conflict?has been removed. By reducing the number of toilets by one, it successfully avoids overlapping with the additional rooms added by DigitalCabbage's mod.

Since there is no "Master" dependency, this bundle can also be used as a standalone mod.

Upcoming Navmesh Support:

I am currently working on full Navmesh support for users of DigitalCabbage's mod. This will be released at a later date as a separate dedicated patch to ensure perfect NPC navigation.

Please Note:

The mod "Hearthfire Cellars Fully Upgraded SE" (by KhrysINXS) is NOT supported.

A guide if you're not sure which mod to use, Hearthfire Cellar Renovation and CC Fishing Patch or Hearthfire Cellar Remodel Bundle.

If you just want to add a bath and toilet while continuing to use "Hearthfire Cellar Extension" or "Hearthfire Cellar Armory".

RECOMMENDED MOD: Use "Hearthfire Cellar Renovation and CC Fishing Patch".

I would like to continue using the "Hearthfire Cellar Extension" or "Hearthfire Cellar Armory" and add a bedroom, greenhouse and craft area for Followers in addition to the bath and toilet.

RECOMMENDED MOD: Use "Hearthfire Cellar Remodel Bundle".

For Full Navmesh Support with "Hearthfire Cellar Extension"

A special version with a dedicated Navmesh for [Hearthfire Cellar Extension] is also available. Please note that it is incompatible with any other Hearthfire Cellar renovation mods due to Navmesh conflicts.

Hey there - I'd love to use this with Hearthfire Cellar extension, but I can't download it. I use Skyrim through Steam, and Bethesda won't allow me to download the mod.

Hello there.

I also use Skyrim through Steam, but I've never encountered the issue of "not being allowed to download mods on Bethesda.net," so I'm not sure how to resolve it. I'm sorry that I can't be of more help.

I've heard that if you're having issues on the Creations (Mod menu) screen, a mod that changes Skyrim's user interface can sometimes be the cause. If you're using any UI-altering mods, you might try disabling them temporarily to see if the problem goes away.
