Common explanations for the Skyrim house mod I made.
Thank you for your interest in the Skyrim House mod I made.
This page is a common description of my Skyrim House mod.
About MODs that have the character string "JP-" at the beginning of the MOD name.
A MOD with the character string "JP-" at the beginning of the MOD name is the Japanese version of the MOD. In skyrim without Japanese typeface, the text in the game is garbled. For example, the name of the added NPC will be garbled. Please be careful. If you are playing a non-Japanese version of skyrim such as the North American version of skyrim, please use the MOD that does not have the "JP-" character string.
Items needed for magic cauldron etc.
Question: Who sells the 'olive oil', 'mint', 'water', etc. needed for things like the Magic cauldron?
Answer: It is sold by merchants added in the introduced house mod. For example, at Riverwood Cliff House, Leny Valerius sells olive oil. Added merchants also sell water, but water is typically placed near a magic cauldron or in a "water barrel" on the property of a house. There are items with the same name among the items added by each house MOD, but please be aware that even with the same name, each house MOD is treated as a different item within the game.
A description of the feature that lets Followers live in your house (Housemate feature).
I used Mr. UniSL's "Dweller Slot" for Follower's migration function system. Thanks to Mr. UniSL.
Some homes have Dweller Slots implemented. If you save and load once after installing the corresponding MOD, you can make Followers live in the building. The number of housemates you can have depends on the property.
The Dweller Slot feature only works for "Humanoid NPCs". The habitation function does not work for animals such as Meeko and stray dogs. We do not plan to support the migration function of animals in the future.
- Please use "My Home is Your Home" for animal migration including Meeko on PC version and Xbox One version.
- Please use "[PS4] Relocate NPC - Your new home" to migrate animals in the PS4 version.
Serana's associated quest (Dawnguard) has higher priority than the Dweller Slot system, so Serana cannot be set as a housemate until Dawnguard is completed. Please finish all of Serana's related Dawnguard quests before making Serana your housemate.
Attention and request: The Essential attribute is given during the stay, but it will return to the default setting after releasing the dweller slot, so if you bring a Follower without the Essential attribute, hire it as a Follower after releasing the dweller slot. Then, please deliver it to a safe place.
When uninstalling this mod, please cancel all the residents' residence settings first, send it to the original location, and then uninstall it.
By using other mods together, it is possible to migrate "NPCs that cannot be made friends normally", but it is recommended to migrate NPCs related to the progress of the quest after the quest is completed. . If you migrate NPCs related to quest progress in the middle of the quest, the quest may not be able to progress.
Also, if you "temporarily make a hostile NPC that has been tranquillized" migrate as a Housemate, it may attack surrounding NPCs and players after the sedation is released, so please be careful.
Known issue 1: Automatic undressing.
There is an NPC automatic undressing function in the bath and toilet. After a certain period of time, the undressing is released.
Specifically, when an NPC sits down in the bath or toilet, the Bath Cloth and Restroom Cloth are equipped to the NPC.
In the bath and toilet area, there is an area where the Bath Cloth and Restroom Cloth are removed from the NPC's equipment (the unequipping area). When an NPC enters the area for disarming, the Bath Cloth and Restroom Cloth are removed from the NPC's equipment.
If a player runs or uses Fast Travel to travel a distance, and an NPC left behind by the player warps to the player's side, the NPC will not be able to pass through the area for disarming the Bath Cloth and Restroom Cloth. Therefore, the NPC will remain equipped with Bath Cloth and Restroom Cloth.
If the NPC is not wearing his/her original armor and is still unclothed, please remove the Bath Cloth and Restroom Cloth from the NPC's equipment.
Please note that there are some NPCs whose automatic undressing function is disabled.
NPCs with the ability to "nullify magic" will not be affected and will remain clothed.
In addition, the torso of an NPC who is undressing may not be displayed, but removing the Bath Cloth and Restroom Cloth will restore the torso to its original state.
The Bath Cloth and Restroom Cloth have a higher defense.
The defensive strength is set for when enemies suddenly appear in the open-air bath.
NPCs will give priority to the armor with higher defense, so if the player does not remove the Bath Cloth and Restroom Cloth, the NPCs will remain equipped with the Bath Cloth and Restroom Cloth.
Known issue 2: About added horses and wood-splitting stands.
When I introduced [House MOD] in the same place as the final save point, I confirmed some problems.
1. I can't ride the added horse.
2. The added Wood Chopping Block cannot be used.
3. The added Stone Quarry cannot be used.
Apparently, if you add the equipment of "Horse, Wood Chopping Block or Stone Quarry" to the same place as the final save point, it seems that it will not work properly unless you sandwich the area loading.
After introducing MDO, you can use "Horse, Wood Chopping Block, Stone Quarry" by "Fast Travel to a place far away from the added house" and then return to the new house.
Known Issue 3: For properties with mannequins.
About the mannequin: 1
Please do not leave items that are really important as the mannequin may lose items.
When I searched for bugs on the mannequin, I saw an article saying "I have no more items left on the mannequin."
I'm worried, so just in case, "Please don't leave anything important to the mannequin."
About Mannequins: 2
Regarding the "bug that the mannequin moves", we have already dealt with it by laying a Navmesh on the pedestal of the mannequin (the foot of the mannequin).
Because the mannequin is an NPC, if there is no Navmesh at your feet, it will warp to the place where the Navmesh is laid.
About Mannequins: 3
Mannequins installed in the original house (Honeyside, etc.) in Skyrim and mannequins installed in the house mod can be targeted by hostile NPCs. When I put the "former hostile NPC" brought by LBGSHI's "Ring of Following" on PS4, I started attacking the mannequin. This may only be my PS4 modding environment, but I'll list it as a problem just in case.
Known issue 4: How to show / hide objects using switches.
The house mod I made has a mechanism to show / hide "objects" such as "roof switching" and "bath water and steam" with switches.
If you just switch, there is no problem, but if you switch switches continuously in a short time, the game will be overloaded and the game may crash.
Also, if you use switches to display a large amount of water or steam in the bath or sauna and go outdoors, the game may crash. Be especially careful at the Riverwood Cliff House. Switch off when moving from indoors to outdoors. Saving water is important.
Known Issue 5: About Weapon Rack.
About Weapon Rack and Two-Handed Weapons: 1
When decorating an indoor Weapon Rack with a two-handed weapon, the two-handed weapon decorated by the orientation of the Weapon Rack is designed to face up or down.
This is a Skyrim specification, so the behavior cannot be modified.
About Weapon Rack and Two-Handed Weapons: 2
When displaying some two-handed weapons such as Daedric Greatsword on multiple Weapon Racks side by side, it may not be possible to display weapons on adjacent Weapon Racks depending on whether the adjacent Weapon Racks are widely or narrowly spaced.
Known Issue 6:Regarding the phenomenon of skin visible on armor in Daedric artifact room.
A house with a Daedric artifact room may have Ebony Mail and Savior's Hide hanging from hangers.
The screen display in the vanilla environment is displayed as shown in the above image.
If you are using a female body mod such as CBBE on the PC and Xbox One versions, the female armor model (Savior's Hide) hanging from the hanger will grow arms and legs. This is not a glitch, as the armor model shows the limb models that have been replaced by CBBE or other body shape mods. If you do not see the model, it means that you have failed to install a body shape mod such as CBBE.
The skin parts modified by female body mods such as CBBE are displayed. (Most men's armor does not show much skin, so the effect of male body shape mods is not so large).
Armor hanging from hangers in rooms other than the Daedric artifact room should not "display skin on armor" very often, as they are decorated with male models.
Known issue 7:About marker judgment of sofa or sofa bed.
The position of the sofa's "sitting" judgment is slightly different from that of a normal chair. This is because it is installed so that two people can sit side by side.
The position of the sofa bed "sleeping" is also different from that of normal bedding. The marker on which the sofa bed sits is the Invisible Chair Marker, so players cannot sit on it. (To give priority to sleep markers)
In the example of this image, there is a "sit" marker and a "sleep" marker in the space slightly in front of the furniture.
Try moving the cursor slowly.
About AE version and SE version
PC version: Dawnstar Estate and Markarth hideout require skyrim version 1.6 or higher due to the aquarium. Other MOD names that do not have AE or SE at the end are created with SE materials, so they can be used with either version 1.6 or higher or 1.5.97.
CS machines (Xone and PS4) are forcibly updated to version 1.6 or higher, so there is no notation of AE or SE. Works before 11/11/2021 do not have aquariums, and works after that have aquariums depending on the property.
About dependencies with MODs produced by other authors
USSEP: All the mods I have made have no dependencies. You can use all the mods I have made without USSEP. It is up to the user to decide whether to use it in conjunction with USSEP.
[XB1] Amazing Follower Tweaks: Although it is not required, if the voice of the added NPC is a follower compatible voice, you can make it a follower if you have installed Amazing Follower Tweaks.
[XB1] Hearthfire multiple adoptions: Optional, but this mod is required to move a family member into a home that supports Hearthfire multiple adoptions.
[XB1] My Home is Your Home: Although not required, My Home is Your Home allows Followers to move into your home. Although it is not necessary for "Dweller Slot" implementation properties, it can be used effectively when moving animals or when there are surplus beds that are not specified in "Dweller Slot".
[PS4] Relocate NPC - Your new home: Although not required, this mod allows you to relocate your family, NPCs and animals. It can be used effectively when there are surplus beds that are not specified in "Dweller Slot" in "Dweller Slot" implementation properties.
[PS4] Multiple Followers System: Although it is not required, with this MOD, even if the added NPC does not have a follower-compatible voice, you can take it as a follower as long as the follower flag is set, so it is recommended to introduce it in the PS4 environment.
About Survival Mode
When Survival Mode is enabled, you need money to pray at the altar except for the Hearthfire house, but my house mod allows you to use the altar for free even in Survival Mode.
In order to recover hunger etc. when Survival Mode is enabled, the additional items of food are already compatible with Survival Mode in the mod I created.
Salt is required for cooking in Survival Mode, so you can now use the Magic cauldron to create salt.
