Morthal Lantern Estate

As with all moddings, in order to deal with unexpected problems, please back up the save data before installing this mod so that you can always restore it before installing the mod.
Notes for Xbox One version
The following information is shared between the PC and Xbox One versions.
If you save and load once after installing this MOD, you can have up to 8 followers living in your house. This habitation feature only works for humanoid Followers. The habitation function does not work for animals such as Meeko and stray dogs. We do not plan to support the migration function of animals in the future. Please use "My Home is Your Home" for migration including Meeko. Use "Hearthfire Multiple Adoption" to relocate your family.
Explanation of PS4 version only
If you save and load once after installing this MOD, you can have up to 8 followers living in your house. This habitation feature only works for humanoid Followers. Please use "[PS4] Relocate NPC - Your new home" to relocate your family and animals.
The following is information common to the PC version, Xbox One version, and PS4 version.

.All indoor storage will not be respawned. Indoor storage is safe.
If you don't want NPCs to undress automatically
There is an "NPCs will not undress" button that will stop NPCs from undressing in the bath or toilet.
You can switch on and off NPCs undressing inside the building and in the garden using the "Undressing control button" to the right as you enter from the front entrance.
By turning the switch on, you will see NPCs using the toilet or bath with their clothes on, but please think of them as actually undressing.
Known Issue
Horses have an Essential attribute and a Respawn setting.
Even if you lose it, it will return to the initial position with the Respawn setting.

Information # 2: Question: Where is the Morthal Lantern Estate Jail Key?

1. Go to the 2nd floor of the main building of Morthal Lantern Estate.
There is a switch to open the hidden room to the right of the fireplace in the player's bedroom (largest room) on the 2nd floor of the main building. Press the switch to go to the hidden room.



2. There is a "Lantern Estate Secret Key" on the fireplace shelf in the hidden room.
This key is the key to open the Jail door under the hut outside the Morthal Lantern Estate.
3. When you press the switch at the end of the Jail door, an enemy for exercises will appear, so you may want to save it just in case before pressing the switch. Depending on the configuration of the mod you are using, the game may crash due to the load.
In the hidden room area, in addition to the fireplace room with the "Lantern Estate Secret Key", there is also a room displaying Daedric Artifacts and a vampire coffin room.
A description of the function to let followers live in this house (housemate function).
I used UniSL's "Dweller Slot" for Follower's immigration function system. Thanks to UniSL.
Here's an explanation of the housemate feature.
After installing this mod, if you save and load it and bring the follower to this house (garden and inside the house), you will be presented with the option "[Home] Would you live in this house?".
Select the dweller slot from [1] to [8] from "This's your dweller slot."
After allocating a dweller slot and then parting from the follower, the follower will start living in this house.
When you talk to the NPC who has become a resident, the option "[Home] I want to manage dwellers." Will be displayed, and you can unlock the dweller slot.
If you want to change the resident, bring the follower you want to change to this house and select the dweller slot you want to change from the conversation "[Home] Would you live in this house?" And change it.
Attention and request: The Essential attribute is given during the stay, but it will return to the default setting after releasing the dweller slot, so if you bring a Follower without the Essential attribute, hire it as a Follower after releasing the dweller slot. Then, please deliver it to a safe place.
When uninstalling this MOD, please cancel all the residents' settings first, take them to the place where the residents were first, and then uninstall this MOD.
By using other mods, it is possible to migrate "NPCs who are temporarily followers", but it is recommended to migrate NPCs related to the progress of the quest after the quest is completed. If you migrate in the middle of the quest, the quest may not be able to progress. Also, if the NPC that you temporarily follow is a subdued hostile NPC, be careful as it may attack the residents if you migrate it.
This will be a repeated warning, but if you bring NPCs involved in the quest progress to this house, please bring them to this house after the quest is over. If you make "NPC involved in quest progress" a housemate in the middle of the quest, the quest may not progress.
Serana's associated quest (Dawnguard) has higher priority than the Dweller Slot system, so Serana cannot be set as a housemate until Dawnguard is completed. Please finish all of Serana's related Dawnguard quests before making Serana your housemate.
A description of the cohabitant's living quarters area
Of the dweller slots [1] to [8], [1] to [4] are assigned bedrooms on the second floor of the main building. [5] to [8] are assigned outdoor huts as living quarters.
The room next to the player bedroom on the 2nd floor of the main building (double bed room) is not set as a housemate's bedroom because it is used for guests.
I set the sleep time in the residential area to 8 hours from 22:00 to 6:00 am, but if the sleep start time originally set for the new residents is earlier than 22:00 (for example, 21:00), Move to the nearest bed from your current location and start sleeping.
Even if you sleep in a bed other than the assigned room, you will wake up once at 22:00 when sleep starts and head to the designated bed.
Places housemates mainly patrol: Main building indoors and outdoors.
A Resident's meal schedule may deviate from the start time or cancel the meal schedule.
Ownership is not set for the bed in the housemate's living quarters.
Most of the living quarters have single beds, so if the follower accompanying the player goes to bed first, the housemate will have no place to sleep and the housemate will not be able to sleep.
housemate's schedule
- Breakfast is served in the cafeteria from 6:00 am to 7:00 am
- Lunch is served in the cafeteria from noon to 1:00 p.m.
- Tea time is from 3:00pm to 4:00pm at the merchant's hut
- Dinner is served at the main cafeteria from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm
- Tea time before bed is at the merchant's hut from 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm
- sleep from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am
- Residents are free to move indoors and outdoors, except when eating and sleeping.
Note: Breakfast and lunch are served in different places for the main building housemates and the outdoor hut housemates.
If your housemates are hanging around without clothes, please remove the Bath Cloth or Restroom Cloth from your possessions.
How to take equipment from a housemate: Use 'Tailor's Measure - Change NPC's Outfit'. This MOD allows you to interact not only with changing costumes but also checking your belongings. Even if your housemate doesn't have Bath Cloth or Restroom Cloth and isn't wearing any clothes, use "Tailor's Measure - Change NPC's Outfit" to specify the outfit.

Hello, firstly I would like to say: Your house mods are hands down the best out there and amazing for immersive playthroughs. I've been trying very hard to find a way to contact you regarding your mods. I was wondering if it was possible to update some of your house mods on Xbox to have the "dweller slot" function. So far I noticed Riverwood house and a few others do not have the dweller slot option and for me that option is the icing on the cake of these fantastic homes. Being able to have my many followers live immersively in the house, using the baths, sometimes exploring the grounds, I love it.

The house I was making in the early days did not have the "dweller slot" implemented.
The "dweller slot" is a plug-in made by UniSL, and when I was making the first house, the content was so difficult that I couldn't handle it. (It's still difficult, but I'm doing it somehow)
The "dweller slot" can expand the range of actions of followers in larger houses, so if you are planning to implement it in the future, Rorikstead House, Riverwood Cliff House, Solstheim Villa, and Morthal Lantern Estate are candidates. .
Morthal Lantern Estate in particular failed to implement the "dweller slot" during the production stage, so I'd like to try again.
I'm debating whether to incorporate the "dweller slot" into the MOD as it is or to release it as a patch.

I would humbly suggest that if at all possible, you just work it in to the mod as an update. That way you dont have to use up more space on your LO to download a patch.
As someone who uses your homes religiously in my playthroughs, I can say that the difference between using the houses falls back on whether or not the dweller slot is implemented. I Still use Lantern Estate, Cliff Side, etc. I Jjust have to use Your Home is My Home and we both know that doesnt hold a candle to the beauty of the dweller slot feature.

Also, I almost forgot to mention that I noticed the Markarth hideout door is missing. I read your mod notes on it talking Bout other mods that edit that area. Only issue is im not using any mods that edite that area...unless maybe Open Cities is changing something and it just doesnt seem like it is?

I am concerned that something like this was written in the description of the plugin (Merge Plugins xEdit Script) for incorporating the "dweller slot".
"A: When you merge plugins many records are being moved to new FormIDs to prevent conflicts.
That means all save games with references to the items from the mods you merged may have the
items/objects removed. This is just the way the game works, there's nothing I can do about it."
It seems that it is dangerous to merge into the published MOD later.
After updating and restarting the game, it would be a big problem if the items in the storage disappeared.

Open Cities copies the buildings and NPCs that should be in the city and places them on the field. Therefore, since it is not compatible with MOD that modifies the existing town, the door of Markarth hideout was overwritten by Open Cities and disappeared. Well, I'm in trouble, I'm in trouble. Would you like to add an emergency exit outside of Markarth? You have to avoid conflicts with mods that modify Gates of Markarth.
I have and use almost all of your houses on Xbox. To me these are the best houses ever made, you are superior in making player homes. Morthal Lantern Estate is my favorite player home, however it is no longer usable on Xbox one. It crashes, it also causes most of the Morthal area and Morthal to glitch and crash. It is the only mod I have that affects anything in the Morthal area. The white Daedric swords of mixed damage and enchanted Daedric Bow are my favorite weapons but if I upload Morthal Lantern Estate to have them, I can no longer get into Morthal. My followers also no longer enter the house or even the outside area. Can you add the weapons to a different house like Rorikstead House, Falkreath Secret Cottage,Markarth Hideout or Dawnstar Estate?

It's a pity that Morthal Lantern Estate crashed and became unusable on RogueFire's Xbox One environment.
Morthal Lantern Estate has not made any data changes to the town of Morthal, but it is possible that some glitches and crashes are occurring due to the combination of other mods.
It could simply be a giant lantern on the roof causing the glitch.
Another possible cause of the problem is that in the Anniversary Edition, fishing points and Myrwatch were added very close to Morthal Lantern Estate, so mods that change fishing points and Myrwatch may be the cause of the problem.
I'm planning to update the Morthal Lantern Estate for my next vacation, so I'll look into what I can do, such as removing useless objects.
Add RogueFire's favorite mixed-damage white Daedric sword and enchanted Daedric Bow to the other homes RogueFire has listed. Which house it will be added to is under consideration.

That is so amazing! I have Dawnstar Estate in my load order and just added into someone else's load order I made them. I can't thank you enough for this! I will definitely try Morthal Lantern as soon as you update it. Until then, Lyle from Rorikstead House and I will continue our travels, she's so much fun :)
Morthal Lantern Estate renewal work will be completed on 10th April 2023.
The April 10th update subtly improved the load on the outside field by reorganizing the log house objects. At the same time, we implemented the Housemate function (Dweller Slot). You can now recruit 8 housemates in total, 4 in the main building and 4 in the log house.
